Cross burned in Cottondale

From staff reports

A cross, which appeared to have been wrapped in burlap and set on fire, was discovered Saturday morning by three people who were riding horses in the area. While distant, it was visible from the truck stops on Buttermilk Road. Deputies with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office were called, and a spokesman said Sunday night that the discovery remained under investigation.
