With the elections closing in, everyone's focused on the Foley scandal, the Reid scandal, the Weldon scandal and whatever other scandals they probably have in store for us over the next couple of weeks. But people are forgetting what they're NOT seeing this time around. Where are the celebrities? Where are the Hollywood actorvists who love to use their fame as a platform for their politics?

The Real Story tonight is that they haven't gone anywhere, they've just learned their lesson. Michael Moore and Danny Glover haven't stopped hating the President but now they realize NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR FROM THEM. These people may be obnoxious, but they're not stupid.

I'm sure that Democratic strategists have gotten the word out that their biggest enemy this year is a large turnout from the Republican base.

And what better way to incite Republican voters to show up at the polls than to have your celebrity followers do something stupid like the Dixie Chicks did?

Think about it, there's only been one case so far of a celebrity using politics this year: Barbara Streisand. And what happened the day after she performed that dumb skit with a Bush impersonator at her concert?

It was front page news; the top story on all the talk shows; and looped all day on Fox; it was everywhere.

That is a nightmare scenario for the Democrats, they know that Republican voters, even those who usual don't care, would literally walk through a wall of fire to vote AGAINST the idiocy of people like Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn and Barbra Streisand.

Celebrities haven't changed their minds, they've just learned to shut their mouths. The lesson for all of us to be careful what you wish for because - just like political correctness - the hate and rage hasn't gone away, it's now just buried deep inside.
