I typically try not to make character assessments about people I don't know based on sound bytes, but his 1 year old daughter and her mother are "distractions"?

Well, you do have to remember this is a 17 year old who is juggling alot right now. I am sure he is like most 18 and under kids who have a child in that they are still maturing themselves, but I doubt he meant it to be malicious in any way.

I hope I'm wrong, but this would indicate to me that he probably wants to stay close to home and if so, who can blame him. Remember Blackmon and the problems he had with children.
