BEAR RETURNS: Meyer was asked if he had read or studied the accomplishments of former Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. "I have a great story on that," he said. "In my first season (as Florida's head coach) we were at Alabama and I was standing in the end zone and up on the (Bryant-Denny Stadium) scoreboard, Bryant is talking to me." The reference is to the video used at Alabama home games. Meyer said he said to himself, "He's not supposed to be here anymore."
