Auburn’s home course advantage for the SEC women’s golf tournament proved to be well worth it.

The No. 20 Tigers won the three-day event at Auburn University Club by 11 strokes over No. 2 Alabama, finishing the tournament with an even-par score of 864.

No. 6 LSU finished the team portion in third at +23, followed by No. 11 Arkansas (+28), South Carolina (+29), No. 13 Tennessee (+31), No. 19 Vanderbilt (+33) and No. 14 Georgia (+35).

It was Auburn’s eighth SEC title, seven of which have come under head coach Kim Evans. The Tigers, who last won in 2009, are second all-time in SEC team titles, trailing only Georgia, which has 11.
