Why Are So Many Protesting

Shouldn't the streets be swelled with those citizens who blindly follow our leader, Bush the Uniter?

It seems that there are citizens who don't believe GWB deserves another 4 years in which to bring this country down. What's with them?

If you love this country show it by voting for Kerry and thereby kicking this cowboy out of the whitehouse. With Kerry we have a chance, with Bush we have none.

GET OUT AND VOTE!

Protests are a coordinated strategy of a group who knows they don't have the votes to legally support the change they want.

Bush had to steal the pResidency to begin with. That makes him illegitimate. A sore spot, you bet! We are gonna vote that SOB out of office in November.

Kerry/Edwards will win BIG in November.

He's got my vote along with anyone else who hates corporate America.

Tom Mullins, a Vietnam era Navy veteran and member of the Communications Workers of America from Thousand Oaks, California, put up this site to present the idea of a mass of motorcyclists riding across the country through as many battleground states as possible, arriving in Boston in time for the convention. He proposes to leave from Santa Monica on July 20. "I've heard way too much talk about the lack of passion for John Kerry's candidacy. I figure it takes some passion to ride a motorcycle on a 6,000 mile round trip. I don't have a lot of money to give, and I have a full time job so I don't have a lot of time. What I do have is two weeks vacation, a motorcycle and a belly full of Bush... I would like to have some company on this ride, because I believe that there at least 1,000 motorcycle riders like me in the country who would like to show their support in a visible way."

Noteworthy: A good example of using the internet to attempt to organize an action; it will be interesting to see if this happens.

See Ya, George

Again, how did GWB steal the Presidency? Really. I mean, after all the sources quoted and noted on here and all over the world-wide web that give information to the contrary, how do you come up with this theory?

And give solid evidence. You know, back up your claims...

MY-MY aren't we testy. See you can't back it up - that is your problem. I never said you had to back it up. I call you on it and all you can say is "I don't have to back-up ####. " :roflol: You and the majority of the dems will spout that lie over and over and show your total and complete stupidity. I would say ignorance, but the fact of the matter is you know better yet continue to make that claim.

Bottomfeeder, must all of your posts read like the stream of consciousness rantings of a frontal lobotomy victim? Geez man, these forums aren't your personal wall to throw everything at to see what sticks. No one feels like scrolling through umpteen links and 4-5 pictures everytime they read a thread you soil with your mindless drivel.

Well, if you think about it logically for a few minutes, the northeast is mainly deomocratic. There are simply more people up there that do not like Bush. Therefore, you get more protesters.

Most of the time, the majority of the people already have it their way. I'm rioght handed. I'm not going to run up and down the street saying there are too many right handed things in the world, and there needs to be more left handed things. There is no need for them to get out and riot in favor of Bush. (Either way, I think its a waste of time. Stay home, do something constructive, and actually contribute to society.)

A select number of democrats (not all of them, don't take offense) have been known to whine incessantly. Sharpton :cry3: and Jackson :bawling: immediately come to mind, and I'm sure many will agree. These types of people are good at rallying others with emotion and not logic. Therefore, events like the DNC and RNC cause the whiners to come out of the woods (on both sides). Plus, don't you see what happens when Republicans actually stand up for what they believe in? Another thread....

I would like to see Kerry come to Alabama. I think there would be a pretty good Republican protest at the fact he'd even step foot in the state. Redneck protesters and whiners can be scary. :D

'Ugly' U.S. Mission Building To Get Roomier Replacement

New Headquarters at U.N. Designed to Withstand Terrorism

By Colum Lynch

Washington Post Staff Writer

Monday, August 30, 2004; Page A21

UNITED NATIONS -- For more than 40 years, it has been the workplace of America's most famous ambassadors, including George H.W. Bush and Madeleine K. Albright. It has also served as a key staging ground for some of the country's most important diplomatic initiatives, including U.S. efforts to sell the world on its invasion of Iraq and to defuse a potential nuclear war with the Soviets during the Cuban missile crisis.

But the headquarters of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations doesn't generate much respect among the world's diplomatic set, whose members have derided the gray 12-story structure as an architectural eyesore that is unfit to house the world's lone superpower.

"It's ugly," said Germany's U.N. ambassador, Gunter Pleuger. "And inside it's not very modern. I think the United States delegation deserves a better one."

The United States is set to get an upgrade. Construction workers will demolish the building on 45th Street and First Avenue over the next four months to make way for a heavily reinforced, 23-story high-rise that is designed to accommodate nearly twice the staff and survive a car bomb explosion.

The $4.4 million demolition has forced more than 160 American diplomats and support staff into a commercial building several blocks from U.N. headquarters, on 45th Street near Lexington Avenue, until the new building is completed in 2008.

___________________________________________________________________

The capitalist's unrelenting tyranny of other countries is to blame for this resultant. Many of the protestors are from other countries of origin, and the very country (U.S.) that gives them freedom is conquering and oppressing their homeland. Kind of two faced wouldn't you say? Another reason besides the foreign policy issue is the economy, which dubya could care less about. That boy (dubya) cares nothing about the little guy and nor does Kerry. Now, Edwards does. A 1.3 million increase in poverty level is a direct result of failed economic policy here at home. Back in 2000 I was sitting in a hotel room in Naperville, Illinois, reading the Chicago Tribune, (in May or June whenever); anyway, I think it was June 12, 2000. I read this investigative report on the death penalty failures in Texas and how dubya hasn't done anything about the killing of innocent convicts. I knew then either this guy is a promoter of "Martial Law," or he is the anti-Christ himself, or both. What a sad excuse for humanity. That boy (dubya) is a degenerative piece of dust in the devil's eye creating an unstable society in the United States Of America. I am totally ashamed of my country.:au:

The protesters in the streets are almost always a bunch of beatnics for liberal causes. That's why you see so few Bush supporters.

IO love this country and the very last thing I would do is turn it over to a mixed up idiot like John Kerry and his socialist wife Teresa. Boy have you noticed they have been hidding her since her bust at the Dem. convention.

They have time to protest because they don't have real jobs or meaningful lives or a use for shampoo, deodorant or foundation undergarments...

I mean, really, when was the last time you knew an upstanding, responsible member of society with a job, a spouse or kids who quit his or her job and left their life behind to go and protest naked in NYC?

Porno mags aside, why is it that the people who LEAST need to appear without clothing are always the ones who do it? Ever seen footage from a nudist camp? EEEEEEEK!

Now tell me that ANY of those morons has a real, respectable job that they left for the day just because they felt so strongly about GWB that they felt compeled to do SOMETHING...

And just out of curiosity, just HOW much money does GWB have to pledge to fight AIDS in Africa before these freaks think it is enough? Is $15 billion with a "B" not enough? How much did France and Germany pledge?

No, I have no gubernmint job. I don't even do gubernmint contracts, we leave that slop for the hogs. And, you should see some of the crap I have seen pass for gubernmint work, gezz, what sloppy craftsmanship.

No, I have seen a lot of crap put in as permanent. Here is a sample of the crap I'm talking about. This pic was taken in the parking lot at Sears in Mobile, Alabama. I guess the electrician ran out of ideas and just used duct tape to secure this panel. This is what a cheap labor conservative would love to pass off as correct.
