2013 DE Kenny Bigelow

Goes to the same school in Delaware as the DT we got this year.  Is already 6-4 270lbs and was the best player at a Rutgers linemen event according to a pay article on rivals.  Has anyone heard of this guy before?  I imagine our coaches are aware of him.

Bigelow camped at AU back a couple of months ago. Here's an excerpt from a Rivals article on that visit...

2013 defensive end Kenny Bigelow of Bear (Del.) Red Lion Christian Academy has been one of the more dominant underclassmen in the region at several spring and summer events. This weekend he decided to take his talents to Auburn to see how he matched up against some of the top talent in the South.

"I think I did great," said Bigelow, who is 6-foot-3 and 270-pounds. "I showcased my speed and explosiveness during drills."

Bigelow noticed the elevation of competition at the Auburn camp.

"The competition was a lot better down south than it is up here," said Bigelow. "There were a lot more athletic tackles at the camp."

Aside from the camp experience, Bigelow also had a chance to check out the campus for the first time.

"I thought it was beautiful," said Bigelow. "It has some really nice features, like the weight room and indoor field facilities."

The coaches at Auburn also impressed Bigelow.

"The coaches remind me of the ones I have now," said Bigelow. "They're great guys. All of them push you to be the best and they know how to win."

Overall, Bigelow already holds several offers, including from Auburn, Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois and Connecticut. Aside from the schools that have offered, serious interest has recently arrived from Clemson.

With this Auburn camp complete, Bigelow will now focus on his upcoming junior season.

"I think I'm done with everything for the summer," said Bigelow. "We start camp on August 1st. I have been working on my technique and hips. I think my get off is great, but my technique and moving my hips with my hands at the same time could be better."

we should have a great chance at landing this guy and will be in his top group for sure. I am sure we will see him at some of the camps after the season is over and especially the auburn camps.

Heard he just committed to USC. Barton Simmons broke the news evidently and confirmed by the kid's coach. I thought we'd be in good shape for this guy. bumma dude - all the best to him.

Heard he just committed to USC. Will track down the tweet and post if I find it

Rivals is showing that he committed to USC

Easy to get swept up in that LA weather and scenery, but I find it hard to believe this one's over.  AU may not get him, but I'll be surprised if this time next year if us and a host of other schools aren't still in it.

I may be wrong about this but when guys commit this far in advance, there very often seems to be a change Of heart at some point later.  Kb has a lot of visits between now and 13 months from now.  Not saying he comes to auburn but these guys change alot

Actually they usually stick. It looks like the trend is the flip but that is because flipping makes news. Sticking in most cases does not make news.
