What I take away from this article, especially since it was written by CR (ie, well respected journalist), are the following:

1) AU reported the possible crime immediately to the FBI as well as the NCAA and made it publicly known in the AU press release. Remember the constant innuendos by the UpDykes and others that the FBI was "secretly" involved in the investigation of Cam ?  AU, as we see in the Ward case, would have made the reality of the situation known to the public.

2) The NCAA defers to the FBI during an investigation, “As allegations of point shaving, if proven, are also potential federal crimes, the NCAA will defer action until any process with the FBI has concluded.”  No such deferment was ever announced during Cam's investigation.  The matter was always/only an AU/NCAA investigation.

Saying all this to reassert that the UpDykes are liars, again.
