Ok....you've got to teach me the transfer from Tivo to PC thingy. Are you just playing on Tivo, then recording on PC, or doing a digital transfer / conversion?

Disclaimer: The above is strictly theoretical talk and not for intended use.

I was at that game and sitting in the middle of the LSU corner. Not a very fun game, until the 4th qtr!!

Best game of my life that I got to see in person.

One of Tivo's features is the ability to transfer movies/shows off of it to a computer(as in not illegal/fair use). They even have software to do it https://www3.tivo.com/store/accessories-software.do . I found it a pain in the backside to use that software. For whatever reason, it just didn't work for me. I found another piece of software a little more straight forward and being as I like open/freeware, I liked it better. The name of the software is kmttg http://code.google.com/p/kmttg/ . On would just need to add the Media Access Key to the software(MAK) to give it access to one's tivo.

I record at the highest quality(SD settings) and the 94' AU vs LSU file was transferred to my comp in the form of a .mpg file with a size of 3.08 GB. I then used a program called MediaCoder http://www.mediacoderhq.com/ to shrink it down and transfer it into a format that can be used with other devices(still covered under fair use standards). Tivo lists this as a feature as well. I ended up with a .mp4 file that is 442 mb. Other format containers can be used.

To get the movie off Tivo takes maybe 5-10 minute for 1-2 hour shows. Transcoding the video depends on how fast your computer is but it takes mine 2-3 hours per file. I put them on to transcode before bed or work. That way my computer can work and I'm not sitting there watching it.

Unfortunately giving out the video is strictly prohibited under DCMA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act . I do not want them coming down on the owners of this website nor myself. It isn't covered under Fair Use standards. I will help anyway anyway I can though. So please just ask.

Is that legal to upload anywhere??

I don't think it is. I did see the 2010 season listed on a website at one time so I'm really not sure. I'll see what I can do.

One of the great Auburn names of all time Marcellus Mostella. Now how about uploading that video onto Youtube so the rest of us can enjoy it. :42:

Working on something. Keep an eye out.

Will be keeping an eye out for sure. Step-dad has VHS goin back to Bo, I'm trying to build my digital collection currently. They need to take a hint from the torrent community and make this stuff available for purchase rather than watching it fade into oblivion, lost to history.
