He hates the fanbase that he now coaches for and wants to get as far away from them as he can. The BOOM would be every single one of the gumps heads exploding. It's Nick Saban. It's day by day. Other than that, no comment. Um...no. Sean Payton's Saints contract was just voided by the NFL and he'll be a free agent next season. I am not an insider and have no inside sources, just remember someone saying his name and that this "boom" hire would shock everyone. He could looking for some change or a new start somewhere. But no inside sources here, just current events that may fit the puzzle JGT unleashed. I just know certain guys like Payton are just people flinging any name against the wall to see what sticks. JGT said this possible "boom" coaching hire was in the mix because of a new AD possibility that recently made some interest known. The AD wouldn't be someone most would be familiar with but he has some ties to a certain big time coach. He also said that the coach is coaching right now. That alone rules out Payton. There has been rumors in the past of him leaving Oregon. We have the type of talent to run his offense on the team already. I doubt it's him, but I would love to see his O at AU.
