Inglewood is not that big or well off at all. No but the proposed development is big time. Part of it is already underway. The guy is married to Sam Waltons daughter and is a big time real estate guy in his own right. The NFL doesn't NEED a team in LA. It isn't like it used to be with pro sports. I'm not a Rams fan but LA and the NFL need to have a team there I was surprised STL got a team again after the football Cardinals left. I know the city has a strong football following but I've always perceived it to be a baseball town, considering its rich traditional history.
