LSU Game Report Card

The only positive that sticks out about this game was the fact the players did not quit. If anything, they were poorly prepared by the coaching staff for this game on offense and defense.

The running backs can make plays, which is a positive.

Auburn doesn't have a quarterback that can allow the WR's to make plays. The coaches know this because 16 of his 19 pass attempts were within 10-yards of the line of scrimmage and 53% was within 5-yards. You cannot win many games with this kind of pass-offense.

Run-defense was horrible and the DL could not get off any blocks. Auburn has now allowed an average of 206-yards rushing in their last 34 conference games.

Only going to get worse. Lashlee is a joke. No d line. No linebackers. No db's. Worse defense ive ever seen by auburn. If you think its just one game, go back and watch jax state go up and down the field.

Stat: Do you know or can you tell us, if it is true that Gus is giving more of the O to Rhett? Have to go back a long way/time to see a Gus Offense this bad for three straight weeks.

How about that D? 411 yds rushing, 8.6 ypc, four touchdowns and a field goal on LSU’s first six possessions.

Totally agree most of that is not on Gus, JJ or the O.

Probably why the defense finished with a 1 of 15 score.

Nope... this is all Gus. IMO, he needs to realize he is a head coach and not just an offensive coach. If this season tanks, he has some major changes to make.

Stat, what game contained the worst report card grade we have gotten since you started doing this?

Averaging all three phases, this was the 7th worst game from 20010-2015. The worst game was Alabama 2012, when the offense was 0/14, defense was 1/14 and special teams was 2 of 5.

I didn't see that game.

How different was this than LSU's game against us in 2010, when we ran for 440?

we still only beat them by 7 points in the later minutes of the 4th. they destroyed us from the get go.

Stat, I am curious if the o being in a funk is about pace. It seems we've slowed down the last two yrs to help the D and our coaches don't have the same feel for calling a game.

Also, if you go back to the Arky game of last yr JJ started out strong but it was going downhill until Nick came in.

Thanks, really appreciate the response.

I meant statistically. My guess is the differences would be scoring. Otherwise, we lit them on fire in 2010. Chavis said as much after the fact.

I wasn't comparing our defense to that LSU team, but an avalanche can hit even the best teams. Bad teams are bound to get abused from time to time.
