Auburn does not often reach the top of the SEC heap, but, when they do, it is so, so sweet. Mostly, that is because it is the best division in college football. Win that and you know you're one of the best.

The time to switch to the East would have been when Missouri joined the conference. Leaving now would only make Auburn look like it is giving up the fight against Alabama. When Tuberville ducked out of the FSU game there was a lot of blowback. Think what Auburn's rep would be if they left the West now.

I'd rather stay and fight it out with the best than turn tail any day.
