mine was in Biloxi,MS........prior to casinos.........hwy 90 was beaches and boats.

We used to take day trips down there. I remember eating at The Factory. Then it got replaced by a giant pirate ship. Back when hwy 90 was quiet and there was no Ticketmaster...just standing in line at the ticket window at BeBop records.

Starting to gather your a (Gulf Coast) neighbor?

When the MS Coast Coliseum first opened, I was disappointed in the sound (echoey). Back then, Mobile's was better, but it was because of the thick asbestos plaster on the dome (which sort's flurried down on the audience when the music was loud; Zappa made a blizzard in there). I assume they're more on a par after the plaster removal, but I just don't get to Biloxi often anymore.

Loudest concert I  ever attended....AC/DC Blow Up Your Video tour in 1988 in Jackson, MS. I think I lost hearing that night.

Lmao last concert I attended 2006 was in Jackson,MS...........Motley Crue?

Best sounding band, near studio perfection, was the Scorpions..........still get chills when I hear Holiday and The Zoo..........favorite Scorp song is Arizona

Mobile hands down better.......not sure if it was mayor or promotions that seemed to land Biloxi better shows...........Had friends from Bayou La Batre that would literally fight you for rights to sit section BB?

Sorry I missed the conversation last night, and

my time on this thread has convinced me that I'm a bit ignorant as to does and does not constitute "Metal," but

do the guys at least fit into the period of y'all's heyday?

Amazed how they could fill a huge space with just three of them (and, of course, a few amps).

Creatures of the Night tour 82 KISS............Vinnie Vincent was playing guitar solo........my friend and I made it to left side of stage where Gene Simmons was wiping his face with towel...........Gene threw towel we caught it........some very small guy was hanging on........we looked like 2 great dane and a yorki fighting over a sock?...........guy was not giving up............guy reaches in his pocket pulls knife that barley fit pops blade........needles to say we divided equally

I think there is a huge crossover between the metal crowd and Rush fans.

Neil Peart... what can you say.

Well played by both.

Any Mobile Mardi Gras experience? Enough to understand the term "bead whipped?"

If you feel like makin' love, you're honestly better off just playing Feel Like Makin' Love. And I don't think Bad Company has gotten many guys laid this century.

The more traditional approach is grilled artichoke, with lemon butter and a dry white,

while Ravel's Bolero plays in the background.

TGI the week's ~done.

I'll soon run out of favorites from these guys to post w./o repeating.

I post this "live recording" (jumbo shrimp, in a sense) version, despite the crowd noise, 'cause I like the guests sitting in the horn section:

Be safe out there.
