"The Los Angeles Times reported that the supporters of the proposal have said California does not share the same cultural ideas as the rest of America."

Amen to that and secession sounds like an ideal move for the rest of America. I, for one, truly wish them well.

Except that if this were to happen (and it won't), we as Americans would lose major import/export docks, strategic military bases, and the state which currently produces 12% of our total GDP.

1 week into the job and Trump is already creating the potential for Union to break up ...

One other point, for the best job creator of all time, he sure would be causing a lot of jobs to leave America ... just a few of the companies headquarted in Cali:

  • Apple
  • Bank of the West
  • Bank of America Home Loans
  • BMW of North America
  • Charles Schwab Corporation
  • Chevron
  • Directv
  • eBay
  • Experian
  • Facebook
  • Farmers Insurance
  • Gap
  • Google
  • Haagen Daaz
  • HP
  • Hyundai North America
  • IBM
  • Intel Corp
  • Levi Strauss & Co.
  • Lucas Oil
  • Microsoft
  • OneWest Bank
  • PacSun
  • Paramount Pictures
  • PayPal
  • Petco
  • Qualcomm
  • Sony Pictures
  • Taco Bell
  • Tesla Motors
  • The North Face
  • Toyota Motor Sales, USA
  • Trader Joe's
  • Twitter
  • Walt Disney
  • Warner Bros.
  • Wells Fargo
  • Yahoo
  • Yelp
  • YouTube

And on and on and on ...

Or to put it in layman's terms, Trump would be the direct cause of a loss of about 20 Million US jobs.

Does this mean I'll have to pay 20% more at Trader Joes?!   :bawling:

They need to be brought back to heel. Denying Fed $ for sanctions cities is a great start.

That is not entirely Trump's fault.  It could be a little premature and overly reactive.

Oh yeah? How do you come to that conclusion?

Probably based on the insane taxes that are and would be levied upon the remaining businesses, the massive influx of even MORE immigrants, taxing the welfare, schools, social services to the breaking point,  and ...oh no! No US Federal tax $ to come to their rescue !!!

Talk all they want, it'll never happen.

NEVER.

This is all a whine and beach fest over Hillary losing.

( Oh, and take those 55 Electoral votes away from future Democrats ?? :roflol:   )

Taxes, regulations to include environmental regulations. Many of the companies listed above have large offices in other states, even if they are headquartered in Calli.

He's probably right to some degree.  As valuable California is, unfettered access to the rest of the US market is far more valuable than siding with CA.

Which will only boost their economy.

Not exactly sure about your point, but from California's perspective, free access to Asia would serve California quite well.  The more relevant issue is that how the US would do without California.

Like it's been doing ? For decades ?

:roflol:

My god, you really are a kool-aid drinker, to the very end.

But thanks for proving that you only see what you want to see. I specifically mentioned the influx adding to the already burdened welfare system, which is where most of these immigrants would end up.  Think the city of Detroit, with all his insane benefits workers got , thanks to the union stranglehold on the city, but on a massive , state wide scale.

Basically, think Mexico, but not the pretty resort area parts.
