ESPN's updated NFL draft projections show:

#2.--Ronnie Brown to Miami

#5.--Carnell Williams to Tampa Bay

That would really be something to have thast happen. Wonder if any school has ever had two of the top five?

As long as Ronnie Brown doesn't have the same HABITS that WIlliams had, he would be a good RB to fill the spot that Williams left.  I could see that working out good for the Dolphins.

I know Ray Ray Hudson and, Mr. Brown, you are no Ray Ray. :poke:

i know carnell would hate this.

He wanted badly to be the first RB taken in the draft.

Went to the Sr. bowl and the fox college challenge to be noticed.

And here comes ol ronnie sneakin in and taking his #1 rb spot.

I have always felt Ronnie would go first. He is more of a prototype pro RB than Carnell IMO.

Penn State had 3 players in the top 9 ( Ki-Jana Carter (1), Kerry Collins (5) and Kyle Brady (9)) in 1995. A quick search said that was the 3rd time a team had 3 players in the top 10 of 1 draft. I don't remember when the other two times were. I f you meant 2 RBs in the top 5 in the same year, I would say it has never happened.

I did a quick search and found the following things from 1967 til 2004.

1967

1 - Bubba Smith Mich St 2 - Clint Jones Mich St 5 - George Webster Mich St 8 - Gene Washington Mich St

1974

1 - Ed 'Too Tall' Jone Tenn St 4 - Waymond Bryant Tn St

1976

1 - Lee Roy Selmon Ok 4 - Joe Washington Ok

1977

1 - Rickey Bell USC 4 - Marvin Powell USC 5 - Gary Jeter USC

1981

3 - Freeman McNeil UCLA 4 Kenny Easley UCLA

1984

1- Irving Fryer Neb, 2 - Steinkuhler, Dean Neb

1985

2 - Bill Fralic Pittsburg 4 - Chris Doleman Pittsburg

1987

1 - Vinny Testaverde Miami 3 - Alonzo Highsmith Miami 9 - Jerome Brown Miami

1991

3 - Bruce Pickens Neb 4 - Mike Croel Neb

1996

2 - Kevin Hardy Illinios 3 - Simeon Rice Illinois

1997

1 - Orlando Pace Ohio St 3 - Shawn Springs OSU

2000

1 - Courtney Brown Penn St 2 - Lavar Arrington PSU

2002

4 - Mike Williams Tex 5 - Quentin Jammer

The best RB combos I saw were

1971

9 - John Brockington OSU 24 - Leo Hayden OSU

1986

15 - John L. Williams Fla 27 - Neal Anderson Fla

1987

21 - Roger Vick Tx A&M 24 - Rod Bernstine Tx A&M

So RB and CW should be the highest pair from the same team in the last 40 years anyway.

Anyone guess what the best back to back year RB combos was in this time frame?
