Looks like Trump was right in his March 4 claims about Obama and his cronies doing illegal wire tapping.

That's flat out misrepresenting the facts.  Trump was not the target of the FiSa warrant.  Manafort was.  Manafort has been on the radar of the intel community but for a long time.  Any collection of communications involving Trump were incidental.  

On the flip side, Trump, who has been suspected,  since the late 80s, of laundering money for wealthy, corrupt Russians through his real estate ventures, chose as his campaign manager Manafort.  Manafort, also suspected of laundering money for Russians, campaign manipulations for the Russians in Ukrainian elections, and serving as liaison between the campaign for Trump and Russian oligarchs seeking to manipulate elections in Western democracies.  

That's weird.

Must have missed the part of the article that says the monitoring of Manafort's calls was illegal.

Guess you don't know what Trump's claims were on March 4 and what has been revealed in the last couple of days regarding unmasking and wiretapping. Even liberal CNN has admitted they were wrong.

You said in your original post "illegal wiretapping".  Are you retracting that misrepresentation of the facts or plodding ahead?

 

As regards CNN, maybe Cillizza didn't get the memo.  His piece on the 19th seems to contradict your assertion.
