...would you like to see us try to run that other teams seemingly run to perfection against us?

1. The UGA toss sweep

2. The Bama slant

3. The OSU/UF triple option shovel pass

4. The TE middle screen that Terry used to run

Which do you wish we would try?

That play where all the guys on defense blow past the OL.

Bird, can you please get a mod to move this out of the recruiting forum?

#2 and #4.

I think those two plays would help keep the MLB  in position more and not let them cheat on run defense.   This helps the OL and Tank.

But also - we have the TEs that create all kinds of headaches for DCs and we have legit speed (Malcolm Johnson and Jay Fair).

With everyone coming back, I could see that working out.

This was my thinking, also. I'll never get over the fact that Gus just didn't even have this stuff in his toolkit. Imagine what Stidham could have accomplished. Just unreal.

Any rub route and also all the RPOs that seemingly work for 10+ yards a pop.

Oh and this thing called a running play where the offensive line makes a hole or pushes the DL back 2-3 yards vs just a stalemate at the LOS.

That really doesn't narrow it down much,  unfortunately.

I want the TZach pump and go that worked so well in 2009.  Why Gus didn’t continue to run that play is beyond me.

Yeah, that was so weird. Huge play for one year and the POOF...it went the way of the buck sweep

Short yardage runs for either 1st downs or TDs.  That needs to be a consistent threat for success to open up the O for explosive plays.  I realize that means leaning on the OL to open some holes, but the returning OL have got the needed experience for that to happen so ... fingers crossed.

1. With our current O-Line number one is out early penetration kills this play You need a stud O-Line.

2. The bama slant should work for any team and we have some fast slot guys that could do it.

3. The OSU/UF triple option shovel pass might work if our guys get beat enough that d-line is past when shovel pass is thrown but could also blow up if line gets beat to bad.

4. The TE middle Screen should work great especially with LB's keying on our running game.

That 2017 (?) team had the tools to win it all.   We just had no depth.   If Stidham had a more balanced array of tools as you said, I believe we could have mitigated KJ's injury.  We were in that game with 15 min left (vs thuga).  That team may not have won it all with KJ's injury, but we would have still had a chance.
