I'll say I'm more than a little shocked at what Little Beamer is doing at USCe right now.

I'm sure not, but I may have been the only one pumping him up as a potential HC candidate when Hasbeen was hired

Anyone think with all the smoke about the demise of the PAC12, any recruits from the SE committed to the west coast might be open to staying closer to home? I.E - JacQawn Mcroy (OT) from Pinson

Shane Beamer seems to be the perfect fit for South Carolina. I have a feeling he will stay there for a long time, similar to how his Dad stayed at Virginia Tech forever. He is young, very energetic and seems to easily connect with high school and college players and that's huge on the recruiting trail. His players love him and they say he makes it a really fun atmosphere for his team.

South Carolina has pretty much everything they need to be successful. When Spurrier was hired there he said they only had 1 booster to ever donate $1 million dollars to the football program and it was an older lady. They've fixed that money problem now and their boosters are ponying up big money. When USCe is right, they can hang with anyone. Under Steve Spurrier, they had 3 seasons in a row where they finished with an 11-2 record. They won the SEC East in 2010, beating Alabama and Saban in the process. If Beamer can keep really good asst. coaches there, they'll be a player in the East for years alongside Georgia and Tennessee.

Yeah you have been talking about him for a while. He is slowly turning them around for sure.

Best Auburn football former champion wrestler is… Nick Coe probably?

Larry Hill (RIP) From his obit: "Mr. Hill graduated from Benjamin Russell High School, where he was the High School Wrestling Heavyweight Champion for 3 years and graduated from Auburn University, where he played football from 1968-1971."

A highlight from my student days was being in BEMC and watching Larry Hill whip UAT's John Hannah in a wrestling match.

There is no East after this year, but yes I totally agree with what you said about Beamer.  He is a good coach and can make some noise at USCe.

If memory serves (questionable), we had some cornfed OL that was a monster a little while back from Nebraska or some midwestern state. Brandon? Anyway, he was very good.

You're right. Brain fart by me 🤦‍♂️ Not having an east or west will take a little getting used to.

It sounds like you’re referring to Braden Smith the OT out of Kansas, currently in the NFL. I remember the unbelievable benchpress stats, but didn’t remember he was a wrestler.

Bingo, Braden is who I was thinking of. I thought he was a wrestler but maybe not.

Well it appears KJ is not going to FSU. Sounds like it is down to Auburn and Uga again. We are battling them quite a bit more this recruiting cycle than we have the last decade.

Something new on the FSU front? Or just reading the tea leaves?

Truthfully, nobody seems to know anything. But educated guesses by every single mod on 247, ON3, and what little information we get out of rivals at this point point to a Uga and AU battle with it being VERY close.

watch him pick osu hahahaa

Thanks Zeek.  This is a little nitpicky, but you failed to add Thompson and Simmons as commits.

Thanks Zeek.

Just curious why Wyatt Simmons and Jalewis Solomon crossed off even though they're not committed? and why  Red Morgan is not crossed off when he's committed to FSU. Is it fair to assume that we have we moved on from the 1st two and circling back to Morgan?

Or perhaps its that Solomon is trending hard to the Gamecocks and we think we can land Shaw before Simmons is ready to decide?

Sounds like you have it figured out. 👍🏻

Zeek, can Patterson play corner?

I also thought Reese Baker was no longer on the board maybe just not committed anywhere, so he's still open?

@autan The question isn't is he open. It's are we open to him?
