Joseph Gonzalez is out for this weekend as he rehabs the scapula soreness that caused him to miss last weekend's scheduled Saturday start.

Listening to CBT over weekend seems to be mainly precautionary at this stage. He indicated Gonzo would be throwing now if we were in the conference war. Not to be taken as we do not go all out to win every game.

Coach Thompson has been the guy I wanted as Auburn's head coach since the ill-fated Pawloski was hired. That said, Thompson babies his pitchers to the extreme. Some like it and it's easy to support being overly cautious. I do wish he'd be a little more aggressive with their aches and pains and have them push through it.

Butch gave another update today, more of the same...could be out up to six more weeks. 

For what it's worth, I've got no problem with the way he watches out for his pitchers.
