Iraq safer than DC?

Subject: Firearm Death Rate

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the

Iraq Theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112

deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm /stabbing death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 for

the same period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the

US Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation,

than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: We should pull out of Washington DC immediately.

I have been screaming this for years. Somebody asked how we could sign for our 17 yr old to join the Army and go to war. We explained that he is more likely to get killed at the parties and place he was hanging out than in a place where he is at least trained to avoid danger. Iraq, for all its faults, has and continues to be one of the most successfull wars that the US has ever fought in. Only the media (libruls) calls it a loss. Any dictator or country that is evaluating the situation sees it for exactly what it is, a dominant and ongoingly successful war. The odds of dying in Iraq are equivelent to many places here in the US daily. But no librul cares about home, there's no story in it.
