2008 AU RBS in the NFL??

Can anyone post a complete list of AU Rbs that are in the NFL AORN?

I remember a couple of guys who were in the NFL who were `no names'. I can only think of 9 guys who are currently on NFL rosters(10 in `07, scratched SD).

9 total guys or 9 RBs? I think 9 RBs is too high, and 9 total guys is insanely too low. It's at least 3 times that for total current players.

I think theres about 5 active guys..

I'm not sure what the status of Carl Stewart is - I think he was cut.

I don't think Kenny Irons is on any active rosters at the moment with his injury.

Is there someone I'm missing? I don't think Stephen Davis is still in the league, or at least he didn't play last year. He may have been hurt though, and I haven't seen anything about him this year though I could easily be misinformed or uninformed.

Forgot about Brandon Jacobs. I guess if you count him that's 6.

Your list seems correct. Wikipedia lists 7 running backs from Auburn but it obviously hasn’t been updated. It lists Kenny Irons and Carl Stewart.

I found an article on the Tampa Bay website from June 20th about Carl Stewart being cut. The article also mentions Marquies Gunn was cut as well.

Also Stephen Davis retired from football in February

The Panthers have offered Davis a one day contract so he can officially retire as a Carolina Panther. Stephen Davis currently helps the Carolina Panthers. On February 27, 2008 Davis signed a one-day contract with the Panthers and on February 28, 2008 Davis officially retired as a Carolina Panther.

Gruden: Cadillac is 'getting close': Bucs coach Jon Gruden remains positive on RB Cadillac Williams' return from last year's knee injury. "I've come out a couple times and actually played defense and chased him down and made him work to explode and cut," Gruden said Wednesday. "He's really getting close. I can't tell you how excited we are about how far he's come in such a short period of time. I have to keep it in perspective, but we're going to be very smart here and I'm not going to do anything until the trainers give the green light. Right now we're still on yellow and we're still working hard. There's a little bit of caution but boy, he's looking good and we're excited and happy for him."

Fantasy Analysis

When asked about Williams returning for the start of the season, Gruden said "I don't know, I'm not a doctor. I'm just telling you where we are right now. He's made tremendous strides, and I would think with Carnell anything is possible." It sounds like Williams is making progress. But for now, let Williams go undrafted in all Fantasy leagues unless there is definite news he will be able to start the season at 100 percent.
