New recruiting strategy for new offensive strategy?

Any of you guys who might now...I think this is an interesting topic that I'm curious about.

Not counting QB, does AU change it's recruiting philosophy at all to account for the spread? Do you go after more guys who are recruited as just "athletes"...do you get different kinds of RBs/OL? Or is good talent good talent regardless of scheme?

Is there anything you all have noticed where you went after a guy in the past and you see AU going after a different type of guy now?

Re: O linemen, you might see guys who aren't quite as big, but who can move around better. I think the coaches are aiming to average about 20 more snaps a game on O, so they're going to need guys who are a little more athletic.

Re: the skill positions, I don't think we're going after different guys, except that we might back off of true pro style QBs and big blocking specialist TEs. What we will do is land more of the receivers and athletes that we always went after, but couldn't get b/c of our rep as a running team. You're already seeing that w/ the 09 class.

If you watched our game the other night, our 2 offensive players of the game were our big, bruising RBs. So I guess we're still Auburn. Hallelujah and WDE.

Yes, recruiting wise we are going to start regularly recruiting different types of players which we wouldn't have before. Running back wise, the ability to catch the ball is important. At the skill positions, we will recruit more ATH type players and guys that are WR/RB gadget type receivers. The reason being that this isn't a vertical passing offense, hence agile receivers who act like RBs with the ball in their hands are valued because they can create separation and make people miss. There is also no such thing as a "TE" in this offense, so true TE's are an afterthought and are replaced by WR/TE tweener types (essentially big WR's).
