We lose game 3, 4-3

I duno about our coach. With 2 out in the bottom of the ninth and the tying run on base, he takes a .323 RH hitter out and inserts a .167 RH pinch hitter. The guy he took out was having a good day, 2 for 3 with a triple.

I know we're off to a good start in the SEC, 4-2 so far, but some of the things Coach Paw does mystify me.

He was looking for a HR. Ortman has 2 HR in sporadic at bats. That's the only thing I can get out of the mindset, but hey.....the errors in the field had more to do with this loss than the last at bat. We have GOT to do a better job in the field.

Looking for HR with tying run on third?! I hope not. The play is to get that run across. I don't know enough about the players to know if situational hitting was the right call or not. But a 200 point difference in avg is pretty significant. Especially if the starter was having a good day.
