We were 0-2 against Samford last year and that certainly helped keep us out of the NCAA tournament. Maybe we should check with the Samford AD, give them Pawloski and bring Samford coach Casey Dunn back home to Auburn.

Maybe they should hire you to coach the team. In all fairness, Samford is a very good team, and there are no such thing as "mid-majors" in college baseball. We had a chance to win the game and for once in a long while, pitching didn't come through.

Perhaps. I, at least, would not replace a RH hitter battting .323 and swinging a hot stick in the game (2 for 3, including a triple) with a RH hitting pinch hitter batting .167. See the loss to LSU, last inning.
