You referenced a single game, correct? Now a smart person would investigate and see how much he averaged throughout the season. 195 yards per game..hmmm. Well, let's see how many games other than the one you referenced did he throw over 400 yards? Zero. Well, how many other games did he throw over  300 yards? Oh, zero again. Well, how about over 250 yards? Oh, just one. What conclusion would you make off that? Or do I also have to dumb this down in a practical sense as well? If we plotted that on a graph and made a bell curve that one game would be termed an "outlier."

On a running team that made Artis-Payne own the 3rd best single season rushing total in school history.

That's right. Artis-Payne has bragging rights over the likes of Brooks, Fullwood, Bostic, Stephen Davis, Rudi Johnson, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac, Kenny Irons and Ben Tate.

Scheme made Marshall a genuine dual threat QB who could show out his arm on a running team when called on. Check the last drive of the 2013 MSU game for a perfect example of being called on to pass in order to win. He didn't disappoint.

He didn't play for Klingsbury or Mike Leach. He played for "Run it again!" Gus.

He was a phenomenal player, yes. However, NM would disagree with you about a portion of your statement or else he wouldn't have decided by his own doing to switch positions.

Numerous College dual threat QBs never even make it to the league.

How many of them choose to switch positions? You back tracking. You said he was phenomenal. Why would someone who is a phenomenal DTQB, breaking records feel the need to switch positions?

Pretty much this. If you are a true DT-QB a scheme shouldn't matter.

Gee, maybe to earn a paycheck. A nice paycheck.

No one's comparing him to Manning or Brady.

You're the one that's calling him an athlete instead of giving him credit for owning two highly significant school records.

Marshall has bragging rights over Sullivan, Craig and Campbell, sample size and all.

You are backtracking, stay on topic. He could earn a paycheck at QB, Why did he decide not to play QB? Craig played in the league as a QB. Jason Campbell played in the league at QB. Why hasn't  NM?

No. All of what I said is accurate. You're simply choosing to ignore it.

Marshall was a phenomenal DT QB in high school and JUCO. Not just Auburn.

Does he own the single game passing school record or not?

BTW - It wasn't against Cupcake U.

Okay so you aren't going to answer the question. You back tracked all the way.

You never acknowledged the CAP analysis. Fact is Marshall played on a team that ran it 70-75%. But to you, that's irrelevant, that he should have averaged 300-400 yards passing a game in order to have been given credit as a good passer.

I suck but you refuse to give credit to a record setting Auburn QB, both running and passing, who took his team to the brink of a national title only flubbed by the defense. Nice going.

Alright guys, stay on point. If you want to talk about whether Nick Marshall was a dual threat or not, take it to PMs.

No need for the personal insults. If you can't defend your argument, just tap out.

Then you just don't get it.

The decision to announce Stidham as a starter has been a foregone conclusion since December of last year. The announcement will simply be a formality.

You're one of the few that isn't getting it.

LOL's!   Like JFIII last season.

LOL, there was really only about one person that really thought JFIII was the foregone conclusion to be the starting QB last year.  There is no comparison between JFIII and Stidham regarding QB talent in any shape, form or fashion.  JFIII was a Gus/Lashlee wet dream gone wrong.

I think there were more posters then just BlueFrogg that thought JFIII would start, oh wait, were you thinking of someone else?
