I forgot Kaufmann is an under class guy....I was thinking they both grad transfers which seemed more like a situation where we only get 1.

Yes I agree. We are going to take a hit in the secondary next year. Is there any others that could leave? I guess if they had stellar years...Pritchett and Simpson would be eligible wouldn't they?

Whatever position we try to offer isn’t surprising to me. We don’t have quality depth at any position imo. CB depth is okay but it still makes sense to add some more if you can. One injury and things can get ugly at any position

I think that has a lot to do with our transfer strategy. @W.E.D has talked about this, too. 

Traditionally we've thought of transfers as limited remaining eligibility guys for immediate impact, but that's changing. We're seeing more guys with 3-4 years of remaining eligibility. So it makes sense to take transfers now with future seasons in mind. Especially with our roster in its current state. Unusual attrition plus a massive class that will be draft-eligible or no longer eligible to play next year. 

That's also why it makes sense to take "walk-ons", for the morons that insist on using that as a pejorative, that might have to pay for one semester or who won't be eligible until next season, if either of those is even the case.
