Abbott retired. Langeman was fired 5 years later. Neither are going to get prosecuted for lying, perjury, etc.

I'm certain there were failures and I hate that any of this happened.  That said, the responsibility to prosecute this type of criminal conduct really lies with the State criminal justice system.  There were failures at every level it seems.  Of course, there were reasons for this.  Most of the victims did not believe that they had been abused in any way until the most serious allegations were made.  That was the testimony of Ally Raisman.  That made prosecuting the perv doctor very difficult at first.  My question is why was he not, at the very least, removed from his position years before he was?  It would seem that a couple of allegations would be enough to at least trigger him being removed from having access to young women.
