Head Baseball Coach Job Will Be Offered To...

Recommended Posts

Auburn is preparing to announce John Pawlowski as its new head baseball coach, the Press-Register has learned.

A press conference could be called as soon as this evening.

A former Clemson player and assistant, Pawlowski has been the head coach at College of Charleston for nine seasons. Pawlowski, 44, played eight years of professional baseball although he only got two brief chances in the big leagues.

The native of Johnson City, N.Y., interviewed for the Auburn job four years ago when Tom Slater was hired.

Slater resigned last month after Auburn failed to make the SEC tournament in four consecutive seasons.
