Finebaum is quoting WSB TV out of Atlanta.  The source is unidentified but "close to the situation".

Until I hear words from named sources that can be held accountable I take them with a pound of salt.

I'm confused. Is it AU's call whether or not to bench Cam or can/will the NCAA or SEC do it? I've been hearing it's up to AU whether or not to bench him and isn't the NCAAs call.

Its AU's decision, but they surely wouldn't without the blessing from the NCAA.  They obviously don't know enough yet to derail Cam's Heisman bid.  So they won't do it.  It'd be pretty bad if they benched him only to finish the investigation and find out he was eligible.
