It's all set up to play out just the way Finebaum and Sheridan planned.  Think about it.  If there was a bagman and his identity was known, you couldn't keep it out of the mainstream press for 30 seconds and the NCAA would be building an office on South College Street.  So Danny Sheridan has scooped the entire free world??  I doubt it.  The set up is perfect.  He'll come on the radio and say that the NCAA feels like Newton was paid and they think they know who it was.  But, they have no proof and need the bagman to cooperate.  Otherwise it will just die on the vine and the NCAA will soon lose interest.  Further, since there is no proof, Sheridan can't actually name the person.  He'll just let us know that he knows who it is.  That way, he and Finebaum can fan the bama conspiracy flames for a few more weeks until the season starts.  Shameless but effective in playing to Finebaum's core fan base.  Riddle me this... OSU has received two letters from the NCAA and has appeared before the COI over issues uncovered in the time SINCE the Cam Newton story broke.  Meanwhile, we are to believe the NCAA has the goods on AU but has not issued so much as a preliminary investigation letter.  Right.  The tale just keeps getting taller.

I believe you have totally nailed it!  I'll save this post and give you even more credit in a few days after DS appears on PF.

The NCAA knows there was no bagman for Cam at Auburn.  :laugh:

IPF and DS are beating a horse that's been dead and exhumed, beaten again by ScottyPoo, reburied, and now exhumed again so they can beat it some more.....

The updykes are all enraged about recruiting, T-Town Menswear, the IB, Cam, another Heisman, the BCS Championship, and the fact that Auburn will not get any sanctions by the NCAA, and that the bingo trial was a bust as far as Auburn is concerned. They have been counting heavily on those mythical sanctions,and bingo connections, and it has all turned into a big fat zero for them. They have been bested by Auburn in so many ways, and it's eating them alive. PF and DS are using them and they are too stupid to know it.

I love Auburn football, but I am so glad I have it in perspective.

Ahhh... the old "feels allegedly" gambit, how can you argue with that.  :)

The problem with all this that I'm not sure Auburn people are getting is that Danny Sheridan thinks he has 'established' that Cam Newton was paid to play for Auburn and the issue he is bringing up is whether the NCAA will be able to prove it.  Danny Sheridan is a low class, unethical, lying bammer whose sole intent is to smear Auburn's reputation and that should be the issue that is brought up.

So sometime this week Dip Sheridan will confirm that he has a name but he won't say it for insert lame excuse here.  Then they will attempt to keep stringing this on and turn it into a story by the time the season starts.  ESPN and NYT will help them once again by printing allegations from anonymous sources as if they are fact.  And then finally about about 4 or 5 days before the MSU game they will release some more half truths and innuendo in their hope to disrupt the success of the team/season.

Well, now you've just ruined it for me.  It's like watching a movie and somebody tells you "Oh, Bruce Willis is dead, but he doesn't know it."

I guess I'll watch that movie about a guy falling in love with a woman -- The Crying Game.  Don't anybody tell me the ending!  I heard it has a great twist.

Well the bammers have started alot of rumors about alot of people surrounding our program....most of these rumors I laugh at but I know there are some prominent people within our AD that would rather not have Weygand associated with our program anymore. His was a name I heard before all these "bagman" rumors started, and it's definitely a name I don't want to hear again. DS is most likely full of it since he really isn't the "investigative journalist" type, plus it would take a hefty sum of $$$$ for Weygand to flip (IF he actually did pay Cecil....and that's a BIG IF)

It will be vague, crudely done and lacking any creditability and you will be glad you

didn't waste your time listening .

That is my plan anyway.

Unless they have photos and these days those don't carry too much weight,

"the story'" will be lost in A & M and SEC saga anyway.

When I have a bad day and am in need of having myself feel better about myself I listen to 30 min of FB and quickly realize things could be MUCH worse....comedic relief is a wonderful outlet.

My pastor spoke of prophecy today and mentioned that in terms of prophecy the more detail given the less likley the prophecy is true....so in a sense the more DS/FB build this bagman story the mentions, details(I use that term loosely when referring to DS and FB) and delays in the story the more they prove that they know nothing.

Being a fan from the outside, this whole cam thing gets less and less concerning, yet more and more Pathetic from the conspiracy camp....all I have to say...there better be something real against Auburn this week as promised. Id hate if true, but if this turns out to be more clown spew bull crap, I will loose respect for any human being who even mentions PF's or Sheridans Name again....Football and soap operas don't mix...Prove Auburn did wrong, or GTFO of the state of Alabama!!

Well the bammers have started alot of rumors about alot of people surrounding our program....most of these rumors I laugh at but I know there are some prominent people within our AD that would rather not have Weygand associated with our program anymore.

Why is that?  What did he do?  I know nothing about FW after he left Auburn.  I did a google search to find out he works for Rane.  But that's all I could find. 

Please forgive my ignorance if FW's history with the athletic dept is common knowledge.
