Tough loss but Arky confirmed their team ERA under 2 for the season. AU got a bunch of guys on base, but Arky scattered the hits and I don't think we ever got the lead off guy....most hits with one or two outs.

great college baseball game and kudo's to probably the number one pic in SEC.for Ark.....but.....and not an excuse..its a freaking shame that the SEC allows the type of umpiring in the best college baseball league...bar none...Doug Williams was awful...no consistency......he was awful at 1st base......he was the deciding factor in the game....in that the lead off walk that led to the only run should have never happened.....man was struck out on a Oneil breaking ball....but be it as it may..AU did have its chances....but when you are clueless to where the strike zone is....and going against top notch hitters is not a good mix......the guy is a clown.....replys show that even in game one that clown behind home plate missed the Ebert play where the tag was missed by a full 8 inches....its disrespectful to baseball to have inept folks having the power to change games...

Agree with you on this but it's an SEC tradition....we also have some of the worst football officials too. Might be nice if the conference took some of that TV money they spread around and got some better officiating for all sports.

Auburn played really good and came up short. Arkansas has a great pitching staff and Auburn has pitched right there with them so far. We just can't get big hits when we need them.

Stanek is one of the best, if not the best pitcher in the SEC. He showed us why he is a Top 5 MLB Draft Prospect. Actually, this wasn't one of his best performances but he was helped a lot by a very sub-par umpire behind the plate. Don't take anything away from our own Michael O'Neal. He pitched a gem, himself. Today is another day. It looks like we have sewn up the #10 Seed in the SEC Tourney. We probably get Ole Miss, Florida or uat.
