If Auburn schedules a game with a Big Ten team in football who gets the broadcast rights. SEC Network or Big 10 Network. Or what if we scheduled Notre Dame? NBC or CBS/ESPN?

Just wandering.

Thanks

If the game is at Auburn the SEC contracts has the rights. If the game is at a BIG schools the BIG contracts has the rights. If at Notre Dame then NBC has the rights. In college football home teams conference always has broadcast rights.

That makes sense. What if its at a neutral site like The Chick Filet preseason or that thing in Dallas? Is that just negotiated with the networks and does the school that plays have to share that money with the conference?

Not sure but as far as I know NBC and CBS only has rights for Notre Dame and SEC home games respectively. So ABC gets to negotiate on those neutral site games by themselves. The only question is whether they put it on ABC or an ESPN network. As for the tv revenue each conference gets half. If the SEC is involved it gets spread among the 14 teams. Other conference have different structures. If a Big 12 team is involved Texas gets more money from it than other teams in the conference.
