Where am I supposed to park for this thing on Saturday? I'll park within 1/2 mile. Anywhere for around 10 dollars?

Heck if you are willing to do that I would recommend Marta. Park at Lindbergh and then take the train south then east dumps you right there.

Then you can take the trian back to the car and will be in the heart of Buckhead.

Otherwise 1/2mile $10.00 might be possible but traffic will stink...

Take 85 north past downtown... get off on first exit I think it is buford hwy. then Piedmont north to buckhead Lindbergh will be about 1mile up on your right.

Round trip for 1 person 3.50.

My uat fan brother lives in Atlanta. My lovelly Bride and I are gonna' spend the night with him and his fiance on Friday night and do the "marta thing" on Saturday morning..

It is SOOOOO much easier than fighting traffic after a game at the Dome. :au:

Yeah but it's pretty crazy trying to leave the game using the marta. We found ourselves in the middle of a stampede the last time...wasn't fun. This time though I'm hoping we have a reason to hang around after the game to let the crowd die down. ;)

since Arthur Blank has come, the parking around the dome is getting a lot better. There are several Dome/World Congress Center parking lots that I would recomend. Thats where I park for falcons games and it is normally 10 bucks or less(don't remember from this season, but I know it was 10 for the peach bowl last year).

When I went to the AU/UT Championship Game, I went fairly early and was able to park w/i 1/2 mile of the dome. I can't recall the cost being excessive. However, there is a parking structure right opposite of the dome. I seem to recall that it did not open until some time in the afternoon. I was too early to park there. You might want to check out that situation and get there soon after that lot opens.

Best bet is Marta. We are going in Saturday morning, early check in at the hotel and ride the shuttle to the airport to catch the marta train. From the south side of atlanta, ride the north line to five points and catch the west train to the ga dome.

Ok little secret

Go to the west when you exit to the Vinecity Marta station (across northside drive) (will be empty)

or go to the west platform (not east) go to Vine City and come back east
