Biggest change I've noticed about pitching is their willingness and ability to throw strikes. Used to drive me nuts watching them nibble all around the edges of the plate trying to get a favorable call on the black or something and walking five or six guys a game.

Did not do a survey of game stats but my perception is that BBs are really down lately and combined with better defense, the pitching is looking very good.

We would have to finish in the top three or four in the conference to get a "1".

I think that would require finishing with 20 conference wins and finishing close to the top in Hoover.
