An outstanding ballgame....what I was expecting.. both teams looked like top 10 teams and AU got a good test in preparation for the WCWS

Gymnastics. Men's Golf. Now AU softball. Three sports at AU who have competed or are about to compete for a national championship just this season. War Eagle to that.

Auburn moves on to the CWS and is now 54-9 on the season. What a great 2 games those were.

Noticed that later in the game today that Clint had the AU batters swinging at first pitch strikes...and being more aggressive instead of getting down 2 strikes early int the counts.

ULL pitchers had frequently been getting ahead in the counts yesterday and most of today when our batters were taking a lot of strikes.....which often caused them to to end up swinging at marginal strike pitches on 2 strike counts.

JMO but glad to see that....was painful to see so many of our best hitters getting rung up with the bases full yesterday. Did not get many hits out of the change in approach (which only started about the 5th inning I think) but the ladies were getting their bats on the ball and making ULL play some defense. IF this approach continues it might pay off in future games.

We were at the game and our seats are behind our dugout, problem was this was the ULL home game, which meant we were next to their fans. Our fans as a group were loud, but not like they were. Not that many in attendance, but they beat something on the medal bench seats and made lots of noise. I have too many gray hairs to start now, but our fans need to learn how to annoy the opposing teams players and fans by constantly making noise. We won so it is ok, but wow, they got on my nerves. I like we are use to cheers, but just beating on seats non stop--my head is still roaring.
