It's probably completely ignorant of me to second guess Bruce, but I think the balls to the wall approach has to stop. Bruce needs to slow the game down for these guys on offense. There are occasional good looks, but most are wild shots in hopes they get fouled (even though they are avoiding contact) or hurried attempts to catch the defense napping which aren't falling. Just need to limit Vandy possessions and keep from getting blown out by 50 and completely deflating the team.

I believe it may be hard for this team to do right now. Bruce wasn't expecting this kind of attrition and hoped to start implementing his style in 2015-2016.

All pre-season, we heard that this year's team would be better... more athletic.

I don't see it... never did. We lost our heart and soul of last year's team, in Harrell and Mason. Surely, Bruce didn't think Canty and Purifoy could replace those guys...?

I knew this would be a rough season... because the numbers just aren't there. Honestly, we're looking at 2 to 3 more years before were legitimately competitive... I hope all parties involved are patient enough, because next year's gonna be equally as rough...

Yeah... the whole "coach wasn't expecting X" excuse at AU is growing wearisome.

Actually, playing in the proper position, Canty could easily match Harrell. Can't say for Purifoy since we've never seen him, but had AU had him, along with TSD and Dunans, AU would have been an NIT team. Minus those guys, it's a dumpster fire in the making. Is there any other team in the country with AU's awful luck?

AU was 1-4 at the time of my post, not the 0-4 I misremembered. Still going to end up last in FT%.
