I like CCR, U2, and Drake but the rest of that list is...not so much. The Cars, good grief man.

Really, Earth Wind and Fire, Jim?

Some of those strike me strike me as guys trying (and failing) to seem hip to teenagers.  Like when Harbaugh said he picked the horned-rimmed glasses to pay tribute to Malcom X.  As if he's spent his whole life trying to figure out how to honor the man and nothing felt right.

Can't go wrong with the Stones...

I'm a Freddie King fan myself...

lol exactly. Kevin Sumlin lived his entire life and his music listening world was changed forever when he heard Drake for the first time as a 40+ year old and instantly became his favorite lol

Digging the Earth Wind and Fire and Gap Band picks.

Yep, and U2 will always be up there for me.  No one said the Beatles...classic forever!

I think that is a good list from top to bottom.  I have never listened to anything by Drake so I must plead total ignorance of him.

Was the question about current favorites? That might explain Sumlin's otherwise indefensible pick. First, Drake... please. I'd have more respect for Yeezus, Kendrick Lamar or others. Second, you're too old for that. But if it's current acts, maybe?

I'm surprised Jimmy Buffet wasn't on anyone's list.

I'm pretty sure all that landshark business at Ole Miss came from one of Buffett's short stories.
