Past that point. I can't stand Pence and would still breathe a sigh of relief. This ain't partisan. You get a Republican either way.

I can't stand him either, but he doesn't strike me as the sort of person who doesn't listen to his advisors.

In other words, I don't think he represents a clear and present danger to the country like Trump does.

We have at least two issues that are being combined into one. I AGREE with you that Trump is reckless with sharing information and with Tweets and with a lot of other things. I am not trying to defend his actions.

The separate issue of whether what Trump tweeted is that same as what you claimed that Trump tweeted is what I have a problem with. If you think that the 2 statements are equivalent that there is probably nothing else to discuss about it. I certainly was not trying to say that you are not credible, only that your claim of the two statements as being equivalent LESSENS your credibility in MY opinion. As an apology I will give you some "likes" to help out your ratio!

His rationale for blurting out sensitive information is totally irrelevant.  It was an idiotic mistake even if he doesn't appreciate it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they lose "ground assets" from this.  Can you imagine how much harder it will be for them to recruit possible agents as a result?

I think we can safely assume Israel - and others - will close the intelligence sharing spigot until Trump is gone from office.

"Hey, Bibi. We tried to warn you. We know you didn't like Obama, but at least you could trust him to keep important stuff close to the vest."

No American press representatives were invited, only Russian.

So they write about something they did not witness and do not disclose a source...and yet you believe them..?  Amazing.

Thanks for the help but having worked for a newspaper back in the day, I probably have some idea.

For one thing, I  know that anyone who will commit treason to leak intelligence secrets to the press will also lie about what they tell them . You sound as if you think these leakers are some kind of patriots... Whereas  they really are just liars and deceivers, betraying the people they work for and our country.

Let's also point something else out...even if we say that the attacks and the digging on this is motivated by hatred of Trump, even if that's true - the issue isn't why they looked into it.  The issue is simply whether he did this or not.  You being upset that you think Obama or another Dem wouldn't have been put under this same scrutiny is a side issue.  This is about Trump, not Obama or anyone else.  Full stop.

And let's remember: it's not like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, or the Washington Post have bugged Trump's office and leaked this info.  The stuff coming out on this is coming from within Trump's own staff.  In other words, people working in his own administration are unnerved by how he handles critical and classified information.

The time has come to stop looking for bogeymen to blame and deal with the issue at hand.

Agree, need to deal with issue at hand. Perhaps Trump needs to fire everyone tonight. Start fresh in the morning. That would plug the leaks.

Your outright disdain for anonymous sources is hilarious.

I'm beginning to wonder where the line is with the sycophantic Trump supporters.

Maybe what he said is true. He could literally shoot somebody and people would still support him.

Is it technically a leak if the president has already declassified the information? :Sing:

I think he's a lying weasel, but I think he's a more or less sane adult.

They're saving their outrage when Trump has sexual relations in the oval office...

It's obstruction of justice if true. No two ways about it.

The funniest thing is that he also reportedly wanted to find a way to jail reporters. What makes it funny is that it's probably the third worst thing to come from this shitshow today.
