Last time AU beat LSU in Baton Rouge...

I watched this game from an underground bunker in preparation for the y2k bug's ending of the world.

I still remember the Ronney Daniels catch-run-fumble-recovery-touchdown had the 12 year old me squeeling in a voice cracking fury

Ole Miss will be a test just because Shea Patterson will be hard to sack him just like it was with Fitzgerald this past weekend. Can we get to him? SURE. Holland was close to about 4 more sacks than the 1 he had. Can we get him on the ground? That will be the hard part.  His WR's will be our biggest test yet for our corners. They are all big and physical WR's who are really talented. This is where Jamel Dean can come up huge for us! We need him to have a big time game for us since he is our tallest and most physical corner at 6 ft 2. Yah 11 am games in no way shape or form favor the home team at all.

Yeah this game is pivotal for my guy Dean. AJ Brown and DK Metcalf are beasts. I need to look at their game saturday again to see how bammer defended them.  It's gonna be very frustrating barely missing sacks on Shea Football. Need DE's to do their thing to collapse the pocket and contain him. He's definitely more elusive than Fitz.

Shut your filthy face OP!

Don't you dare conjure up some crazy bourbon and zydeco induced swamp voodoo from Coach Ogre. Been way too damn long since we beat them bastages down in the land of sweaty cajuns.

A lot of young pups on here, I won't say how old I am, but I'm old enough to be most of y'alls dad. So it's been way to long since we won down in BR it's OUR TIME as they say.

In the last 10 years, I have been to Tiger Stadium three times to see Auburn play LSU, and they have lost each time. One of those games was a last minute TD from Flynn to Byrd - complete heartbreaker.  This year...things change.

Was that when Les gambled with the TD when all he needed was the FG to win? Either way, THAT one infuriated me.

yup. that was the 2007 game. the 2005 game we totally choked because john vaughn missed like 19 field goals and WASTED a kenny irons 200 plus yard game when he called his shot!

i was sitting in the south endzone. was it duvall that ran the fake field goal? he could have walked up and handed me the ball i was that far down. if we dont beat LSU in BR this time, we may never beat them down there again.

Yeah...it's been a bit.

Looking at the schedule, it appears this game will either be the 2:30 CBS game or one of the two evening ESPN/2 slots. My hope is that a pretty average Florida team trounces LSU this week so their fans don't get too worked up for an afternoon or night game the next week against AU.

Guice is likely unable to play the UF game so this will weaken an already weak team. There is a lot of unrest in BR not like has been seen since Dinardo went south there. I hope LSU will go 6-6 and be just enough to keep Coach O on for the 2018 season. If this goes this way, look for LSU to be down for at least 2-3 years beyond 2017.  An afternoon game will be perfect for us. I see us unloading on LSU in a way we have not done so since the time we beat them -41-7 in Tubs first win & the cigar game. I was there and loved that game so much. Tiger Stadium was like a huge funeral parlor by the end of the 3rd quarter.

I was 22, living in Manhattan. Saw this game at "Brother Jimmy's bbq", upper east side, they somehow piped in these sec and acc games, and offered discounts for patrons carrying a southern i.d. Saw lot's of Auburn games in there.

I was 10 years old. Blue Streak was number 1 at the movie box office. Unpretty by TLC was the number 1 song on the billboard top 100. Urban Meyer had still never been a head coach and was still the WR coach at Notre Dame. Jim Harbaugh had never even been a coach yet and was still playing in the NFL for the San Diego Chargers. Nick Saban was 0-3 in bowl games and had a legendary  33-24 record coming in to the 99 season.

I was 19, two years out of high school... we just had our 20 year reunion...

The year was 1999. Michael Jordan announced his retirement. John Elway and the Broncos won their second straight Super Bowl (SB XXXIII). President Clinton was acquitted by the Senate in his impeachment trial. Eminem released "Slim Shady." Tim Couch was the first pick in the NFL Draft. Star Wars Phantom Menace was released in theaters. JFK Jr. and his wife died in a plane crash. "The Sixth Sense" and "Fight Club" premiered in theaters. Pierce Brosnan was James Bond.

Yeah. It's been THAT long since we won in that Corndog crap hole.

I remember it all like it was yesterday, but inexcusable for a program of our nature...a top 15 program ALL TIME to not win in a conference stadium for almost 2 decades...

You call it classic.  I was in the stadium.  Infuriating is the proper word you are looking for to describe that night.

You got that right.

I was a junior at AU...Ronney Daniels was a god in AU for that one year.  We got all the bounces in that game...recovered fumbles at opportune moments, fake field goals...everything was working.

The last Auburn WR to reach 1000 yards.

The last time we won in red  stick we had an 8 year old and a 3 year old. I was 29 years old. Both daughters are now married and in their 30s. Me? I am an old man ready to see my Tigers win!!!
