Found the compromise...

Republicans don't like Hispanics, Democrats don't like the demise of our ecosystem.  Trump wants a wall, we on the left want acknowledgment of climate change and action to address it.  The Democrats can commit to the 5.7 bil, with the caveat that a significant portion of the wall (the number requires some research) be made up of carbon scrubbing facilities.  As it will benefit both the US and Mexico maybe they can put in in this.  Trump can claim Mexico's paying for it.  Everybody wins.  

This is, of course, tongue in cheek, but it's kind of cool to consider the possibilities.
