No wonder MAGA loves this guy. He’s a deadbeat, too!!

Mr. Musk appears to be gearing up for legal battles at Twitter, which he purchased in October for $44 billion, according to seven people familiar with internal conversations. He and his team have revamped Twitter’s legal department and pushed out one of his closest advisers in the process. They have also instructed employees to not pay vendors in anticipation of potential litigation, the people said.

To cut costs, Twitter has not paid rent for its San Francisco headquarters or any of its global offices for weeks, three people close to the company said. Twitter has also refused to pay a $197,725 bill for private charter flights made the week of Mr. Musk’s takeover, according to a copy of a lawsuit filed in New Hampshire District Court and obtained by The New York Times.

What Twitter's previous officers and management were doing or not doing in most cases was illegal.  The company wasn't following core IT and security methods and procedures.   There was a lack of oversight that may result in criminal charges.

This document details how bad it was.  Musk had no choice but to fire people and lock them out.

That's the playbook Donald Trump has used in his businesses all his life. Refuse to pay bills and obligations and then file lengthy, frivolous legal disputes through the courts to make it cost prohibitive for the obligees to enforce the contract and just give up on trying to get payment.

This is not from Trump’s playbook, this practice has been around since lawyers were invented.

Oh no,,, when he does it, it's just business.  You or I would be a deadbeat but those who represent capital,,, it's just business.

I hope he can get some government assistance.

He’s probably already gotten more than most anyone, but he’s “self-made.”

Are the expenses really valid?  Contract terms were not followed by Twitter in some cases.   Twitter's former management never seemed to follow process.  there will be interesting court cases.
