How the Democrats betrayed the Jews

AUFAN78

Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, film director, screenwriter and author David Mamet opines on the reality of the Democratic Party and their stance on antisemitism.

But there is no more cosy mystery in the antisemitism of the Democratic Party; Representatives are affiliated with the Democratic Socialists and pro-Palestinians, calling for the end of the state of Israel — that is, for the death of the Jews. And Democrat Representatives repeat and refuse to retract the libel that Israel bombed a hospital, in spite of absolute proof to the contrary, and will not call out the unutterable atrocities of Hamas. The writing is on the wall. In blood.

Just so everyone knows David Mamet is a brilliant artist but a rat****ing insane pundit.

He’s so bad he had a hard time on Rogan for God’s sake.

That is true for radical segments of the left. Just like portions of maga are pro-Putin.

Extremes personalities on both sides have kidnapped the historical rational narrative.

Good grief. Can't dispute anything in the article, so I'll attack the author, who is telling the truth.  :gofig:

The author is wrong that the DNC, or the President, or Democrats in general supports Omar or Talib's views on the war, and he's wrong that Obama and Biden didn't and/or refused to meet with Jewish leaders. That is an outright lie and is easily disproven through a simple Google search.  None of the money freed up to Iran by Biden has been spent and is currently frozen after the Hamas attack.. When it is freed up it's only for humanitarian aid and not to be used by Iran for weapons or military.

The United States under both Republican and Democratic Presidents have been the biggest supporters of Israel of economically, militarily, and diplomatically since it's founding, and The United States protects Israel by vetoing and blocking every single resolution or law that the UN proposes or debates on that Israel personally doesn't like. Biden was one of the First world leaders to visit Israel after the attack and embrace Netanyahu and support Israel's right to exist and defend themselves.

There is absolutely no proof or serious discussion to be made that American Democrats are in any way anti-Semitic or do not support the State of Israel enough. That is just simply a distortion of facts and reality.

This article is just a bunch of baloney that the OP only posted because it attacks Democrats and that's the only thing the OP cares about.

The author is making wide sweeping assertions, using cherry picked facts.  The vast majority of Democrats don't espouse those views.  On this topic, he is simply too close to the windshield to see things clearly.  Jews are certainly not second class citizens in the United States.  Jewish communities thrive here and have succeeded in partnering with other faiths with respect for shared values and traditions.  There will always be outliers and bigots, but the U.S. has done as much, if not more, to support Israel and the Jewish people since the Holocaust than any other country on the planet.

There is a 60/40 split among Democrats in their support for Israel/Palestine.

NewsNation.

The war has sparked tense protests in the U.S. and across the world. At least 139 people were arrested in an Oct. 20 protest in Midtown Manhattan calling for a cease-fire. The ADL said Wednesday there have been nearly 400 rallies held across the U.S. since Oct. 7 that it deemed to be "anti-Israel," including some that it said included explicit support for terrorism. CBS News

Netanyahu's 265-day freeze-out is the longest period any Israeli prime minister has waited to meet the U.S. president since 1964, according to the Washington Institute. Then-Prime Minister Levi Eshkol had to wait 341 days for a meeting with Richard Nixon. Axios

The 6 billion is currently frozen. Rightfully so, but lets not be naïve here. When you release funds for humanitarian efforts, funds previously earmarked for that particular cause can go elsewhere.

The United States under both Republican and Democratic Presidents have been the biggest supporters of Israel of economically, militarily, and diplomatically since it's founding, and The United States protects Israel by vetoing and blocking every single resolution or law that the UN proposes or debates on that Israel personally doesn't like. Maybe I missed that argument?

See previous information. Add in:

Now maybe you're trying to convince me left leaning outlets aren't really left leaning at all? Same for our liberal college campuses?

So correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears you're trying to tell a Jewish man what he is thinking? Doesn't come across as empathetic to the thoughts of our Jewish community in todays state of affairs.

I have better things to do than to undertake such a "fool's errand".

And the thread title alone suggests that's what it would be.

Hey, it's not me who's inviting others to chime in with "something of substance" when referring to a huge steaming pile of BS:laugh:

Love the irony, though. ;D

And apparently - from the responses - I am not alone.

Mormons, on the other hand…

Yes, the Jewish population in America is approximately 2.4% and the Mormon population is approximately 1.2%.

Seems about right and no where near an offset.

He is pretty much spot-on. Rapture and the Jews is a deal most don’t understand. My belief is that Gods covenant with the Jews will be enforced in a separate track than Christians and messianic Jews. It may be they will still be saved ultimately but may have to die in the tribulation period in order to receive the gift.  I don’t fully understand their position but God will sort it out. It is a mistake to call revelation anti semitic. He also calls us righteous but should just say Christians. No one is “righteous” enough to be granted entrance without Jesus.

So yeah. We like him.

Perhaps because you didn't live 2,400 years ago when it was written?

Pretty complicated plot, but as you suggest, nothing the creator can't "sort out". :-\
