Simple Reasons for Why I Support the Tiktok Legislation

1. The company is a media company at it's core.  As such, it should be treated in the same manner as ABC, NBC etc.  We would never allow a Chinese majority ownership of a U.S. media company.

2. China doesn't allow U.S. based platforms, like Facebook or Instagram, to operate in China.

3.  Tiktok's President isn't just a Chinese executive.  He is a high ranking member of the Chinese Communist Party.  This would be like Facebook being ran by the U.S. FBI Director.  That isn't acceptable.

Protecting us from the potential bad acts of a foreign adversary is an essential function of government.  That is what this bill does.
