Its about priorities. Yours seem to totally focused on social issues and the border.  And Trump promises you he’ll fix that.  Pretty straight forward thinking. I get it. And on the border issue we agree.

The problem is Trump has proven he can’t pass legislation, endorses low ability and unstable legislators that have dumbed down the gop (loyalty first), has no fiscal or budgetary policy, fatigues the country with superfluous daily chaos, and ultimately has no concept of patriotism - just tell maga what they want to hear and blame others for his failures and lawlessness.

He literally violates everything I taught my sons about integrity.  Everything. If you want to say Biden’s worse and fixate on your core issues - I get it. But understand to others there’s a broader context and responsibility to the Presidency - and for those Trump is simply unfit to be even considered.  I wanted Haley - but given these 2 unacceptable options - imo, even a fading, way too liberal, way too average option like Biden is less horrific than  Trump.  He’s that bad.

Great, then vote for him.  I still want to get him out of office.  Either way we will have a lame duck president in office and I would rather live through Trump trying to stem the tide for four years then elect a serious candidate.  

America can’t afford to see Biden take us into WWIII and weaken our standing in the world,  JMO

Again, my frustration with the gop is that they had good easy choices - and overwhelmingly passed on Haley and Desantis.  Who would have won in a yawner and without the baggage that would harm and distract the nation.  Purely persona , rage, obedience, and some other creepy stuff going on.

I understand that and they could have had a potential 8 years of control of the WH if they could right the ship.  It is no longer an option and it just Republicans stepping on rakes.

To your point, either option is one term and done regardless. The longer term issue to me are the lord of the flies characters popping up in Congress. First there was the Squad (practically Sandinistas) and then the inevitable immune system maga reaction of mtg, gaetz, ect. You may like them on policy but sincerely - they will gleefully eat their own and mentally…  ain’t well.   It’s becoming a psych ward.

Progressives and maga may despise traditional left and right of centers like Romney, Manchin. Sinema, and Cheney.  But they were the adult control rods in the nutsville nuclear pile - and with them checked out. Hang on

We need good leadership and we don’t have it.  It is at least 4 years away.  We are too divided for a 3rd party to win.

I would suggest the biggest issue is the left and right of centers fled their parties and created/ accelerated a pointless majority of moderate independents (as big as both parties put together) who now have little to no influence  on the primary process.  So today: Dems-> progressives. GOP -> maga. Who are continuing to radicalize, believe politics is supposed to be a blood bath - and surprise, cant agree by nature or compromise on squat..

I and many of my friends are a big part of the problem - we (like George will) abandoned the gop in protest (same with moderate Dems) and are now whining about the  crazy  problem. I am reconsidering my decision

i do not need to look in the mirror to know how i feel about trump or even have you tell me. i know exactly how i feel. you do the very same but always deflect. you dislike biden as much as i dislike trump for a fact. funny thing is biden is not as crooked or self serving like trump is. all the stuff you folks complain about is mostly made up by folks who want to smear biden and then give a real crook  a pass. i have more morals. i would vote for an alternative or not even vote before i voted for the turd known as trump. piss on him like he pisses on vets and pow's and all that.

The far right, and to an extent the far left as well, cannot reach  common ground on anything due to their sources of information painting a completely different world for them daily.  We are being skull drug into a downward spiral by information sources like Youtube and whoever posts whatever on Facebook.  Maybe we deserve it, but it is truly pathetic.

I understood it better after visiting Rome a few years ago. Huge empire, got full of themselves, spent their resources on global wars while ignoring the needs of their people, empowered corrupt self serving politicians,  and created a huge colosseum to keep the masses distracted. We’re just duplicating their path to ruin.

We need to be better people.  We need to be less about greed and more about making our communities and quality of life second to no other place on earth.  We need to reject those that suggest we should first battle each other and seek to destroy those that we happen to disagree with on some issue and embrace those that strive to find common ground.  Pure capitalism works no better than pure socialism.    We should be smarter than to wait until we are at rock bottom before we are forced to find solutions.

i have tempered myself quite a bit on here. but in truth it is not worth getting ugly with anyone on here so i do mostly jokes whether folks find them funny or not. arguing with some folks is like ground hog day. no matter how many truths you post they still come up with the same talking points again and again. i never thought i would see the day some of our most patriotic americans would vote for someone who pisses on vets. it is sad and it makes me angry. by a dirty piece of crap rapist and con man who would never serve his country. the only reason he runs for pres is for himself because he can a ton of money while in office. the things the right gets on biden for think it is ok if trump does the same thing and give him a pass. hell it took the right how many years to finally admit what trump is but still going to vote for him. it is sad and frustrating.
