LSU/Miss State predictions

Since the first game of the season is an SEC matchup, and it's played tomorrow night, what do you guys think the final score will be? I'll say 27-10 LSwho since it's their first game of the year and it's at Miss State.

State's gonna pull the early upset!

Then we will get to hear about LSWho being the most talented team in the nation with one loss. That is until they get a visit from the real Tigers!

WDE!

I think MSU will be better this year and LSU will be looking past them a little bit to the Va. Tech game the week after. Plus, I think it will take a little while for Flynn and the rest of the offense to really get on track. It will be close for a quarter or a half, but LSU's defense wears them down in the 2nd half.

LSU 31

MSU 14

No way that MSU scores more than 10 points on LSU's defense...and I think 3-7 s more like it. LSU is WAY to good on defense for this to be a game!

I could see a defensive TD for MSU or an early turnover deep in Tiger territory leading to an easy score. Or a low scoring game for most of it that balloons to 31-7 late, then MSU gets a garbage TD.

I just think MSU might give them a run for it early, but it will be more a matter of MSU being jacked up and LSU being complacent.

Corndogs are already thinking about BCS Bowl. We've been there in 2003. Bulldogs have nothing to lose, and will be HYPED about this matchup. They will be going for it on every play. Corndogs will make some big plays, but they will be TREMENDOUSLY inconsistent and underprepared a la we finally get to see what Les Miles can do.

Bulldogs will pull off one of the biggest upsets in school history, and Circledrill will say "I told you so" to all the Les Miles fans.

Interesting discussion. So far, of the people that predicted a score, the average is LSwho 27.6, Miss State 15.4 and in the pick-em column it's LSwho 7, Miss State 3. Might be a great game to start off with for the 2007 season! Can't wait till SATURDAY!!! WDE!!!

While Croom can DEFINITELY pump his players up for a big game like this, no way do the Bullpuppies have the talent to beat LSU. They'll keep it close early, but the Bayou Bengals will put this game away in the 3rd quarter.......

And I'll say Glenn Dorsey has 3.5 sacks in the first game of the year. They have some hogs on the OL at Miss. St. but this guy has some serious speed!

I cant see the MSU offense scoring more than 10 in any scenario. This is a team that hasnt scored a point against us in the last 2 years. They couldnt score against LSU 2nd team defense..they couldnt score against L-S High's defense. I think the LSU offense could sputter at first considering the loss of starting receivers, qb, and lack of a gamebreaker at RB, but they eventually come around and score some points.

LSU 38

MSU 3

PS Henig gets hurt on a Glenn Dorsey hit.

A LOT of wishful thinking in some of the previous posts.

MSU won't cross the 50-yard line without an LSU turnover. Dorsey and Tyson Jackson are going to leave pieces of Henig all over the field.

Flynn and the offense aren't great, but the defense is.

LSU 38 (at least 1 defensive score)

MSU 3

MSU will score first or something and LSU will respond with a 35 spot or something.

Flynn struggling a little bit wouldn't surprise me but I doubt it sticks with him

LSU rolls

Sorry Vickie....

:lsu: 27 Crowton will be adjusting to :sec: talent, but not for long.

:msu: 10 Maybe, if they score the TD late...

:lsu: will set the tone for one of the best conference D years in :sec: history.

Go a hotdog or a drink at the game on it?

A "drink" I guess. With or without Glenn's additives?
