Doesn't sound like a hate "crime" to me. Sounds like someone being childishly foolish. Since when did calling each other names constitute a crime? And if so, why aren't all blacks who use that word against each other prosecuted?

i agree, cctau. while we're not privy to the content of the message (other than the fact that it included the "n-word"), it sounds like it's an isolated incident...the article didn't say "a series of threatening messages ...".
