Bro Johnny Mac 1,402
2 back of the Phils and tied with the Brewers for the wildcard Think how dangerous we will be if we ever actually have some hitting..
jsb29 0
Johnny Venters=money! Is this a changing of the guard, or was Kimbrel just given the day off? Gonzales said JV closing was not indicative of a change, he was just giving CK a rest because he had to throw so many night before. I don't know if I believe him. We'll see. Speaking of JV, is there any chance if he keeps this up through the whole season, he would be in the Cy Young talks?
28Auburn27 0
It's hard for a reliever that's not a closer to win a Cy Young. If he pitches like this the whole year, he would deserve to be mentioned in it. If Jurrjens keeps up his work, he should be in the race too. I've been pleasantly surprised by his consistency too, let's see if he can keep it up

AUAeroEngineer 0
Opening Day Braves Roster: Brandon Beachy (DL with abdominal strain) Tommy Hanson (scratched from next start with injury) Tim Hudson (back issues) Jair Jurrjens (healthy) Craig Kimbrel (healthy) Scott Linebrink (healthy, unfortunately) Derek Lowe (had blister and ankle issues) Cristhian Martinez (healthy) Peter Moylan (back surgey, long DL stint) Eric O'Flaherty (back troubles) George Sherrill (healthy) Jonny Venters (Healthy, thank GOD!) Kris Medlen (DL with tommy john) Brian McCann (healthy) David Ross (healthy) Brooks Conrad (healthy) Freddie Freeman (healthy) Alex Gonzalez (healthy) Brandon Hicks (should be in AAA) Eric Hinske (healthy) Chipper Jones (strained abductor) Dan Uggla (healthy, but HUGE slump means might as well be hurt) Jason Heyward (just got back from dl) Nate McLouth (DL with ab strain) Martin Prado (DL with staph infection Matt Young (AAA) So 12 out of 26 (counting Medlen) are either currently on the DL or injured, and then with uggla.
