ClaytonAU 4,606
Auburn has landed PF Horace Spencer over UNLV and others ... Horace Spencer, PF Henderson, NV (Findlay Prep) 6'8 / 215 - Visited AU 6/23, 8/22/14 - First recruit hosted by Coach Pearl after show-cause penalty expired - Committed to AU 8/24/14 "The reason why I picked Auburn as because coach (Chuck) Person, coach Pearl, coach(Harris) Adler, the whole staff was passionate about me coming to Auburn and offered me," Spencer said. "I appreciate how they were straight forward and honest about how I could start at the four man spot. I thought it was a perfect scenario and perfect situation for me."http://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/story/auburnauthority/2014/08/24/four-star-forward-horace-spencer-commits-to-auburn/14529995/ Offers: Auburn. Georgetown, Iowa, Maryland, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Rutgers, Seton Hall, South Florida, Temple and UNLV, among others. 247Sports: 4* (Top247 - No. 31) Rivals: 4* (Rivals150 - No. 73) Scout: 4* (No. 60) Spencer is a freak athlete that may not be the biggest center at 6-foot-8, but he plays a lot bigger than he is due to his size, length and athleticism. Spencer has ridiculously bwide shoulders and will be able to put on a lot of strength without losing his bounce. He generally plays very hard, rebounds and defends. Offensively, Spencer is extremely raw and is missing many ways to score outside of transition. He'll need to improve his post game.http://auburn.scout....c=1&nid=6134108

RunInRed 16,407
This is pretty big. As far as college basketball goes, this is the news item that’s going to carry into the week. It fully puts Bruce Pearl and Auburn on the national basketball map. I can guarantee you every coach in the SEC is very wary of what can happen down there. They saw what he did at Tennessee in a short time. It certainly looks like he’s right on schedule at Auburn."http://auburn.247sports.com/Article/Scouts-take-The-Horace-Spencer-commitment-to-Auburn-30535039

SumterAubie 3,031
'They’re certainly becoming more relevant on the Philadelphia recruiting scene thanks to the presence of Harris Adler, who was an assistant at La Salle under John Giannini for the previous 10 years. The Tigers are also targeting Archbishop Carroll wing Derrick Jones, who included them in his top nine last week while leaving out local schools Villanova and Temple' So the Jones kid is considering Auburn but not Temple or Villanova. I'm in a state of shock.
NoALtiger 3,860
This is why a guy deserves a second chance. Bruce is back with a vengeance. Folks that weren't on the Pearl bandwagon, line forms to the left.
