A terrible loss for humanity, not just Catholics nor just France.  I saw the cathedral in person and will tell you that it was unbelievable.  Over 800 years old.

Glad my wife and I got to tour it a few years ago. A big loss in many ways.

So sad.  It was a beautiful Cathedral with priceless artwork inside.

Just amazed that it could get so out of hand during the middle of the day...but once it got started like that I'm amazed they were able to save as much as they did.  Some great work by the fire fighters to contain it to the extent they were able to.

Latest report says the main structure is "saved and preserved".  How in the world is that possible with all the flames.?

Interesting tidbit....I read where they can rebuild the roof bot not like it was because they no longer have trees big enough to make the arches. Will have to use modern technology.

I never question God's involvement in tragedies like this but there is sure a powerful message in this picture taken inside this morning.
